A new clinical study, performed by Colorado-based Validcare, shows promising results on the important question of CBD safety.
"Investigators report to FDA no evidence of liver toxicity in the 839 adults consuming oral CBD"
This announcement came after a 7 month investigation into the safety concerns of long term CBD use. The preliminary findings from this industry-sponsored, decentralized human safety study of hemp-derived CBD products, showed data indicating no liver toxicity.
This study was commissioned in response to the FDA's call for science-based safety data to review while attempting to create a regulatory pathway for CBD products.
This is encouraging news that is sorely needed for both human and veterinary patients. This announcement will not only prompt further study, but will hopefully signal the end of the inertia on the part of the FDA.
